Nanocomposites have broad applications in different areas such as biological sciences, drug delivery systems, wastewater treatment, and soil improvement. Nanocomposite structures provide large surface area and other unique properties. Recently nanocomposite structured superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) have been used to conserve water, improve water and fertilizer retention in soil, and thus increase plant growth. The application of nanocomposites in soil could promote a sustainable agricultural development. There is a need to better understand nanocomposites and their different applications.
