Professor Donald L. Blackstone, Jr., was a prominent Rocky Mountain geologist for over six decades, and with his death on May 24, 2004, the geologic community lost a true giant in the field of structural geology and tectonics. In honor of Don's many contributions to the geology of the Rocky Mountains, a special symposium was convened by Eric A. Erslev (Colorado State University), David R.
