Abstract

Krishna Godavari Basin on the east coast of India is one of the country's most promising petroliferous basins, with commercial accumulations of hydrocarbons on land and offshore (Figure 1). Estimated resources in the basin are around 2000 million tons of oil or oil-equivalent gas. The reservoirs are in sediments of all ages, Permian to Pliocene.
