Abstract

The last TLE special section on Latin America (November 2003) contained eight papers. This section has four (although this issue's “Interpreter's Corner” also concerns Latin America). This reduced number does not indicate a reduction in geophysical activity. On the contrary, it reflects a much higher level of ongoing exploration and development projects in which resident geophysicists are using novel solutions to address regional challenges. As a result, it was difficult for some to find the spare time to write/submit a paper for this special section.
