Abstract

During two days, 13–14 July 2005, at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) campus, 83 exploration geophysicists (51 from oil companies and geophysical contractors, 30 students and faculty from academia, and two from government labs) participated in a different sort of workshop. The “Workshop on Subsalt Imaging Problems: Practical Problems, Seeking Solutions” highlighted presentations from oil and service companies that featured not solutions, but rather problems as exhibited in field data, primarily from the Gulf of Mexico.
