This issue of The Leading Edge contains articles related to a special TLE Forum, titled “Geophysics and the Environment,” which was held at the 2001 SEG Annual Meeting in San Antonio. As co-chairs Shuki Ronen and I sought out panelists who could illustrate the diversity of topics which fall under this heading. Our success is evidenced by the eclectic topics in the pages which follow.
