After more than a year of organization and preparation, the International Symposium on Reservoir Geophysics, jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) and SEG, was held 4–9 December in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. About 150 geophysicists, geologists, and engineers from six countries attended. Delegates included some of the most prominent Chinese exploration geophysicists, SEG President Sally Zinke, and former SEG President Brian Russell.
