Seismic attribute analysis and interpretation have revolutionized the way geoscientists look at and interpret seismic data. Coherency processing, because of its edge-detection capabilities, has greatly improved the explorationist's ability to rapidly map structural frameworks and interpret details that are typically unrecognized in conventional amplitude data sets. However, this technology has been underutilized to resolve stratigraphic and depositional geometry of seismic features.
