Tight exploration budgets have reduced the number of field investigations that once were an important part of exploration seismology research. Collection of new data designed to further our understanding of the most important geophysical method is minimal and, in view of economic constraints, unlikely to increase. Here I suggest that data already in files could be used to advance our science.
