“Seismic Tomography: What Comes Next?”—The first topical conference convened by the Seismological Society of America (SSA) was held in Toronto, Canada, on 28–30 October 2022. The meeting was originally scheduled for October 2020 but was rescheduled due to the COVID‐19 pandemic.
In 2020 and 2021, SSA worked with meeting cochairs Andreas Fichtner of ETH Zürich and Clifford Thurber of the University of Wisconsin–Madison to produce five virtual sessions to give students and early‐career researchers a chance to present their work, and to maintain collaboration between members of the tomography community.
