On 8–10 October 2017, the 89th Annual Meeting of the Eastern Section of the Seismological Society of America was held in Norman, Oklahoma. More than 70 scientists from around the world participated in multiple sessions focusing on intraplate earthquakes, central and eastern U.S. seismic hazard, and induced seismicity in Oklahoma and elsewhere. The meeting took place at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman.
