Adam Marian Dziewoński, Frank F. Baird, Jr., Professor of Science, Emeritus, at Harvard University, passed away on 1 March 2016 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A., only one month after being diagnosed with metastatic cancer, in his 80th year.
