The Cascadia Initiative (CI) Amphibious Array provides us an unprecedented opportunity to investigate seismologically the formation, alteration, and subduction of the downgoing Juan de Fuca and Gorda plates, as well as the fore‐arc and volcanic arc (Fig. 1).
