The Cascadia Initiative (CI) is a community‐based onshore and offshore seismic and geodetic experiment designed to study a variety of questions ranging from megathrust earthquakes, episodic tremor and slip, volcanic arc structure, to the formation, deformation, and hydration of the downgoing Juan de Fuca and Gorda plates (Toomey et al., 2014; Abers et al., 2015).
