An Mw 5.4 earthquake occurred on 3 November 2010 (Fig. 1) near the city of Kraljevo, Serbia, the population of which is more than 100,000 people. By the end of March 2011, the earthquake had been followed by a sequence of more than 650 aftershocks of magnitude greater than 1.0.
