Probabilities of Significant Earthquake Shaking in San Francisco Bay Area Communities Available to Purchase

While seismic hazard in California is well studied and extensively discussed within scientific and engineering communities, and several outreach initiatives provide the public with source- and site-based earthquake hazard information, this hazard information typically requires the layperson to have either an appreciation of earthquake magnitude, depth, and distance, or an understanding of peak ground acceleration (PGA) and/or spectral acceleration (SA).
