Nepal BSSA & SRL Articles Special Collection
In response to the April 25, 2015 earthquake in Nepal, the Seismological Society of America (SSA) has assembled the following research papers that examine the tectonics, structure, and earthquake history of the Himalayas. To foster the exchange of information about this region, and in an effort to fulfill our goal to “Advance seismology and the understanding of earthquakes for the benefit of society,” these papers will be available free until the end of June, 2015.
These papers were previously published in SSA’s two journals, Seismological Research Letters (SRL) and the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (BSSA), and underwent the normal review process. The papers in this compilation were selected by Publication Committee Chair Andrew Michael, SRL Editor-in-Chief Zhigang Peng, SRL Associate Editor Susan Hough, and BSSA Associate Editor Roland Bürgmann, with assistance from SSA President Ruth Harris.
Additional articles may be added to the collection as they come to our attention.
