In a previously published article related to peak ground-motion attenuation in Greece (Skarlatoudis et al., 2003) equations (3a) and (3b) described the empirical peak ground velocity (PGV) predicting relation for shallow earthquakes in Greece. Since their publication these relations were used in some applications for the broader Aegean area and were also compared with independent results produced by other researchers.
