abstract
The propagator and scatterer approaches to wave propagation problems in piecewise homogeneous, anisotropic, and elastic media have been studied using spectral theory of linear operators.
A new concept called “scatterer product” has been introduced, which appears useful in studying the scattering properties of a stack of layers.
