At the request of the authors, Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America is retracting the article “Nonlinear Site Response at KiK‐net KMMH16 (Mashiki) and Heavily Damaged Sites during the 2016 Mw 7.1 Kumamoto Earthquake, Japan” by Hiroyuki Goto, Yoshiya Hata, Masayuki Yoshimi, and Nozuma Yoshida (Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (2017) 107 (4): 1802–1816. https://doi.org/10.1785/0120160312) published on 4 July 2017. An investigation by Osaka University confirmed that one of the authors, Yoshiya Hata, fabricated data in his research.
