I first came across Paul Gannon’s writing on geology and landscape in his short articles for The Professional Mountaineer magazine. These glimpses spurred me to find the fourth book in his Rock Trails series, which deals with the Scottish Highlands. The other three cover Snowdonia, the Lake District and the Peak District.
