Introducing Palaeontology is an attractive book, well written and pitched at a level that will appeal to a large audience of varying experience from people with a general interest in the science of palaeontology, whether that be amateur or a prospective student or for undergraduates starting a geology/palaeontology course looking for an overall introduction to fossil groups.
