The Dalmanella monnieri sandstone of lower Siegenian (lower Devonian) age in the Armorican massif of northwestern France contains large numbers of a large Homanolotidae trilobite of an undescribed species. Several good specimens were obtained, although it is exceptional to encounter identifiable specimens. This species, previously overlooked or perhaps assigned to other species, is Burmeisteria (Digonus) armoricanus n. sp.
