Abstract
The folded and fractured Triassic formations in the vicinity of Rougiers, Var, France, are covered locally by a flow of ankaratrite which issued along a fault cutting the eastern end of the Sainte-Baume massif. The age of the fault, and consequently that of the flow, is Nummulitic (Eocene or post- Eocene). Igneous pebbles in the upper Muschelkalk attest to an earlier volcanic episode which took place in the Triassic (probably Muschelkalk).
