Abstract

The fresh-water molluscan fauna recently discovered in a lens of clayey material intercalated in terrace gravels of the Saint-Dizier area, Marne region, France, proves that the terrace is not equivalent to the 12-15 meter late Pleistocene (Mousterian) terrace of other areas, but is considerably younger.
