Abstract

Although poorly preserved, ammonites from lower Flysch strata in a boring at Saint-Marcet in the French Pyrenees could be identified almost certainly as Lyrtoceras sicardi. They indicate a Santonian (Cretaceous) age for the enclosing beds.
