The Grouz and Maiez-Araiera mountains are two anticlinal massifs in the Figuig region, southeast Morocco, composed primarily of lower Liassic and Pliensbachian (Jurassic) strata. Triassic beds are exposed in some of the ravines. They are separated by the Tisserfine valley, a syncline composed of middle and upper Liassic and Bajocian strata. Cephalopods from various Jurassic zones are briefly described.
