Abstract
Atmospheric dust precipitated with rain at Buffalo, New York, on November 13, 1933, was found to contain materials characteristic of a semi-arid climate--e.g. dried-up playa lakes or flood-plain areas. Ninety per cent of the material is inorganic, the rest diatom tests, spores, pollen and shreds of leaves, bark, etc. The sizes of the particles range from 0.005 to 0.5 mm., averaging 0.02 mm.
