"The petrography of sandstones of the Pegu system (upper Oligocene to middle Miocene) exposed at Chauk, Burma, is described. These arkosic sandstones are considered to have been derived from a belt of granites exposed along the western margin of the Shan plateau. Variations in the size of the clastics deposited are attributed to earth movements within the basin."
