The results of studies of thin-sections, insoluble residues, and dolomite-calcite ratios of the limestones at LeGrand, Iowa, are presented graphically. Though the section studied at LeGrand consists entirely of limestone and dolomite, with associated cherts, there seems to be a five-fold cyclic repetition of beds.
