To the Editor: In their discussion of the conclusions of Corral (2021a), Perelló et al. (2022) present new U-Pb and Lu-HF zircon and whole-rock geochemical data. Their aims are to address the lack of robust geochronological data for the Cerro Quema host rock and to geochemically characterize the early expression of the Central American arc in the Azuero Peninsula.
