Sir: We welcome the opportunity to respond to the comments and criticisms raised by A. Wilde regarding our recent paper (Polito, 2004). Wilde questions our new results concerning how the uranium deposit at Nabarlek evolved and suggests that we misunderstood Wilde and Wall’s (1987) description of the outer and inner alteration halo. The alteration assemblage described in our paper incorporates our own observations and summarizes those that were previously reported.
