Kula C. Misra is professor of economic geology and geochemistry at the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Tennessee, where he has taught for more than two decades. Misra has prepared this volume principally as a text for an introductory course in economic geology at senior undergraduate and graduate levels, and also as a resource for practicing economic geologists. That is a big order, and the book meets its ambitious goals only partially; moreover, the excessive price places this book beyond the reach of most.
