Ladies and gentlemen: I am extremely pleased and honored to have been asked by John Thoms to be his citationist this afternoon.
There can be no doubt that the Society has grown dramatically and prospered during John’s watch, and he set the stage on which this growth could occur. Let me begin my remarks with a quick review of his exemplary career as a professional, and then I will focus on some of the details of the service he has rendered to the Society.
