Abstract
Airborne multispectral scanner. A color composite image was constructed using the following spectral band ratios: 1.6/2.2 mu m, 1.6/0.48 mu m, and 0.67/1.0 mu m. The color ratio composite successfully distinguished most types of altered rocks from unaltered rocks; further division of altered rocks into ferric oxide-rich and -poor types.--Modified journal abstract.
