The ore consists of pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite with minor cubanite, mackinawite, valleriite, pyrite, marcasite, arsenopyrite, rammelsbergite, sphalerite, tetrahedrite, magnetite, ilmenite, and an unidentified hard anisotropic mineral. Pyrrhotite and cubanite each occur in three structural types. Exsolution textures and inversion twin lamellae suggest a high temperature for the solutions that formed the deposit. Two stages of pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite mineralization were separated by a stage of carbonate metasomatism.
