Abstract
Dikes are mostly 1-2 feet thick, with sharp contacts and no wall-rock alteration. Matrix of clay- to sand-size particles makes up 50-70 percent of volume. Fragments show a wide range in degree of rounding and include fragments of granite from at least 1500 feet below exposures. Emplacement is attributed to fluidization by hydrothermal liquid.
