Abstract

"The distribution of the minor elements in the altered zones with respect to the distance from the ore deposit indicates a remarkable regularity. Silver, copper, nickel, barium, chromium, vanadium, cobalt and lead decrease regularly as the distance from the ore body increases. These elements seem to be effective for the prospecting of kuroko deposits; particularly lead is the best index element among them. The geochemical behavior of minor elements in the kuroko deposits and their surrounding altered zones suggests that solute diffusion is an important mechanism controlling the distribution of elements in kuroko and its altered zone."
