"Spot maps showing recorded occurrences of minerals containing certain elements as essential or important constituents have been prepared, in an attempt to discover and delimit the main metallogenetic provinces of Australia. Correlation with geological events is clear in a broad way, and it is shown that in Paleozoic and later times there has been a progressive shift in the location of successively developed ore-zones from west to east in eastern Australia."
