To the Editor: This journal has recently published a study on solubility of molybdenum trioxide, MoO3, in aqueous solutions (water, sodium chloride, or triflate) at 250°, 300°, and 350°C, and vapor-saturated water pressure (Shang et al., 2020). The authors have found that the MoO3 solubility is minimal in water and starts increasing at the molality of NaCl above 0.01 m.
