This new publication includes one comprehensive report of 257 pages in French and three maps at 1:1,000,000 scale. It represents a major update of the geoscientific information on Madagascar, with a mining focus, conducted in collaboration with and for the Ministry for Mines of the Republic of Madagascar. The data update, which started as early as 2003, was mainly funded by the World Bank through a project called Projet de Gouvernance des Resources Minérales (PGRM). It included a major database and focused on geology/geophysics, environment, and local development.
