Having access to high-quality detailed aeromagnetic surveys is a huge benefit to any geological work, whether academic or applied, and whether in igneous, metamorphic, or sedimentary environments. Continuous data of uniform quality, whether or not there is outcrop, irrespective of the intensity of weathering, and unaffected by who controls surface rights and access, is an immensely valuable resource for geologists. Our capacity to use the data depends on knowing how.
