The Handbook of Geochemistry is a compilation divided into one series of chapters on analytical techniques, and a second series of chapters on exploration geochemistry and isotope geochemistry. The Introduction to the book notes that the many different disciplines of geology critical to exploration are presented in numerous basic scientific papers scattered throughout the literature and there is a need for a comprehensive summary of such work that is presented to explorationists in a more applied manner. Raju does go on to admit that there are indeed some journals and texts that are more applied and useful to explorationists, but...
