When I received this book, I was first struck by the cultural gap between the authors and me. Here was a book entitled Exploration Geophysics that contained less than four pages of text on magnetic and gravity methods, and nothing at all on radiometric or electrical methods. The remaining 258 pages were almost entirely devoted to seismic methods in the United States. As someone who has largely worked in potential fields and radiometric surveys on the far side of the world, I was at first inclined to return the book to the Society and apologize for wasting its time.
