The 14 papers contained within this volume are the product of a two-day workshop held at TU Bergakademie Freiberg in 2002 on the physical geology of subvolcanic systems. The recognition of subvolcanic sill complexes and an understanding of their emplacement histories are of critical importance to economic geologists with an interest in a wide variety of magmatic-hydrothermal ore deposits.
