Robotization and automation will play a major role in geosciences in the upcoming years. Their contribution will bring significant improvement in efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and robust decision making through all aspects of the seismic value chain (e.g., data acquisition, processing, and interpretation). Utilizing a vast array of data types is essential for further unraveling sublet subsurface characteristics. Embracing and leading these technology advancements while facing the future are the main factors for identifying and steering strategic in-house and external collaborative research and development activities. These initiatives resulted in a number of applications that play a significant role in our operations, considering the constantly changing landscape of the industry. We outline a number of technologies that use robotics and automation to address technical solutions to geophysical challenges, and we demonstrate their subsequent impact. In addition, we show the applicability of diligently selected applications that significantly impact all aspects of the seismic value chain.
