Seismic with simultaneous sources: Where does the industry stand? Available to Purchase

In November 2017, SEG held a workshop in Muscat, Oman, to advance the understanding of the use of simultaneous sources in the seismic industry and to answer the question posed in the workshop title: “Where does the industry stand?” While 20 years have passed since the concept of simultaneous source acquisition was reintroduced to the industry, there has been a significant increase recently in the number of surveys being shot employing some type of simultaneous source operation with a profusion of methods and terminologies being used by geophysicists.
