Currently, the SEG Continuing Education (CE) program is organized into six categories for a total of 23 courses in geophysics: seismic data acquisition (3 courses), processing (5), and interpretation (7); general studies, i.e., potential field/nonseismic (2); near‐surface geophysics (2); and exploration and production geophysics (4). These categories are natural subdivisions of the overall subject of geophysics as applied in exploration for and development of oil, gas, and minerals.
