Abstract
In a general discussion of geochemical exploration for petroleum, some of the problems particularly related to the soil-analysis method are considered in detail. It is suggested that with technique now available for gas-analysis, the older method of soil-gas sampling may avoid some of the difficulties inherent in the soil-sampling method.
