Abstract
Inasmuch as the geophysical activity for 1970 was not published in Geophysics as had been done for 1969 and prior years, in this report we will cite the trend in geophysical activity from 1969 through 1970 and 1971. Further, the statistics on petroleum and mining exploration are separated, with no totals given, because of the extreme differences spent for these two efforts.
